Spring Isn’t Just a Season—It’s a Calling

(A gentle return to yourself, your rhythms, and your faith)

Introduction

We often think of spring as the season when the world around us comes back to life—the flowers bloom, the air shifts, the sun lingers just a little longer.

But what if spring isn’t just something that happens around us?

What if it’s something that’s meant to happen within us?

After the stillness of winter—after the heaviness, the reflection, the hibernation—this season invites us into something more than tidying up the closet or dusting off the shelves. It invites us to wake up.

To notice.

To listen.

To respond.

Because sometimes, the deepest kind of spring cleaning isn’t what we do with our home—it’s what we do with our heart.

Section One: The Inner Nudge

Something has been stirring in me lately—not loud, not urgent, but persistent. A soft inner nudge that keeps whispering, “Come back.”

At the start of this year, I chose the word “essence.” I didn’t want a word that pushed me to hustle or achieve. I wanted a word that reminded me to return—to myself, to truth, to what’s real. And slowly but surely, that word has been doing its work. Not through striving, but through stillness.

This spring, that intention is blossoming into something even deeper. It’s not just a return to me—it’s a return to my faith. Not in a dramatic, loud way. More like the gentle warmth of sunlight coming through the kitchen window. Quiet, steady, undeniable.

I’ve been feeling the pull to reconnect—not just with the rhythms that nourish my body and home, but with the God who created them. The same way the earth knows how to bloom again, something inside me is remembering how to believe again. Trust again. Hope again.

And maybe that’s what spring really is: not a command to change everything overnight, but an invitation to awaken what’s already been planted. To stop pushing, and start receiving. To open the windows of our spirit and let the light back in.

Section Two: New Life Needs New Rhythms

If we want to feel new life in our bones—not just in theory, but in practice—we have to create space for it.

For me, that means recommitting to the simple rituals that make me feel grounded and alive. Every morning, I start my day with movement—usually 30 minutes of cardio at the gym. It clears the fog, shifts my energy, and reminds me I’m showing up for me.

After that, I return home to my quiet space—just me and my dogs in my yoga room. I light a candle or a diffuser, sit in stillness, and simply listen. I pray. I reflect. I organize my thoughts for the day. It’s not a checklist—it’s a practice of presence.

Four days a week, I also do yoga. It’s been such a gift for my body and spirit—helping me stretch out tension, slow my breath, and rebalance my energy in a way that nothing else can.

These aren’t routines to “fix” me—they’re how I remember who I am. How I align my outer life with my inner truth.

This is also the season when I lean on certain supplements to support me emotionally and physically—especially Medi-Herb Ashwagandha Complex. It’s my go-to for calming the nervous system and helping my body adapt to stress, without that wired-but-tired crash. It’s a gentle support that reminds my body it’s safe to soften, to open, and to thrive. Link to buy — https://bit.ly/4isS6KW

Spring isn’t about forcing transformation. It’s about aligning with it.

Section Three: Clear the Clutter, Create the Space

You can’t bloom if you’re buried in clutter—physical, emotional, or energetic.

This season, I’ve been paying attention to what’s weighing me down. Whether it’s the junk drawer I avoid opening, the pantry shelf that makes me sigh, or the over-packed calendar that keeps me in “go mode,” I’m asking the question:

“Does this give life—or take it?”

And the same applies inward.

What thoughts, habits, or beliefs are asking to be released?

What would it feel like to create more breathing room—for joy, for connection, for God to move?

Sometimes the heaviest weight we carry isn’t on our bodies—it’s in our homes, our minds, and our hearts. Spring is the time to set it down.

Section Four: Listen to the Whisper

Spring doesn’t arrive with a shout. It doesn’t barge in with to-do lists and bold declarations.

It arrives with birdsong. With soft winds. With tiny green shoots peeking up through last year’s soil.

That’s the energy I want to carry into this season—not urgency, but attention.

Not hustle, but honor.

So I’m asking myself questions like:

• What’s blooming in me right now?

• What feels heavy and ready to go?

• What would it look like to live lighter—physically, emotionally, spiritually?

Maybe you’re asking those questions too. Maybe, like me, you’re being invited not to do more—but to remember more. To return to your essence. To your Source. To what truly matters.

Closing: A Sacred Invitation

This spring, I’m not chasing change—I’m choosing presence.

I’m honoring the nudge.

And I’m remembering that the stone has already been rolled away.

The question now is:

What are we waiting for?
